One of my New Year's Resolutions for 2019 was to make my bedroom an absolute haven. Instead of decorating it all at once I have come to the realization that a slow and steady design process will truly make my room a personalized oasis to escape to at the end of the day.
My latest and greatest purchase for the room is the long anticipated Ralph Lauren Porcelain Lamp! I have been eyeing this bad-boy at Home Goods for well over 6 months. Or at least eyeing all of the fantastic collection of Porcelain Lamps for sale! Even though I eyed the lamp desperately every time I went to Home Goods, my purse just couldn't quite justify the purchase. So I passed through the lamp section and wandered through the cluttered aisles of the home decor store... Usually, leaving empty-handed and thinking about the lamp!
I did some research online, trying to find a comparable lamp for a better price. But everything just looked cheap or was made of not so great materials. It was forlornly that I realized lamps like this are expensive!
So I moved on and went lamp shopping elsewhere. I knew I wanted something eclectic that would pop against the black walls of my bedroom. Something unique. So Ikea and Target were out. I searched and searched. But my heart was settled on the Porcelain lamp and nothing else was going to suffice. (This is literally months of searching... For a lamp!!)
In the end I came to the conclusion I was just going to have to bite the bullet, go to Home Goods, and get the lamp!
When I finally went to purchase the lamp I was so excited to see that not only was the parking lot not crowded, but the lamp was on sale at 50% off! It was meant to be! I immediately snatched it up and have never looked back.
The lamp does everything I was hoping for. It adds a fun eclectic pop to the room, is classic yet modern, and gives me life every time I turn it on. I love it.
I know this is a long post for a lamp... but it really makes me happy to see the warm glow and pretty design when I walk into my room each night!
